“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.” ~ Leo Buscaglia

From  holding a door to helping someone whose car broke down, these altruistic acts are what The Random Acts of Kindness is all about.

Established in 1995 as a nonprofit organization, The Random Acts of Kindess Foundation is a place where participants can contribute to the kindness revolution by sharing their stories of kindness and how they have changed others lives.

“This is a great place for people to get together in one place and tell the many wonderful things that they do for other people,” says random acts of kindness participant, Katy Morris. “By reading about others stories, it not only shows how many wonderful people are out there, but also inspires you to want to do more.”

In addition to the sharing your stories of kindness, Random Acts of Kindness website also has a variety of free educational and community ideas, project planning, workplace resources, and more.

According to it’s website, the kindness movement has an aim to help everyone create a better world by spreading awareness and increasing engagment in kind acts.

“It’s so heartwarming to have a website dedicated to spreading kindness and making the world a better place.” says Morris.

World Kindness Day is November 13, what will your random act of kindness be?
